What is a pre-order and why should I pre-order?

What: A pre-order is an order for a product that we do not currently have in stock, but we can order in for you. Pre-ordering allows you to reserve and pay for the item in advance.

Pre-ordering secures your spot in our next bulk order with Douglas Cuddle Toys. We include the plush you've pre-ordered in our bulk order with DOUGLAS, so it's reserved and will be sent to you once we receive our bulk order.

Why: Douglas Cuddle Toys are in high demand, so we mostly sell our plush as pre-orders to ensure everyone has the chance to receive the plush they want. It removes the stress of missing out on a restock as you know you have already reserved the plush you want.

What are pre-order batches?

Pre-order batches are bulk orders we place with Douglas Cuddle Toys. Processing pre-orders in batches helps us avoid excessive shipping and import fees, which would otherwise increase our plushie prices.

It usually takes 3-5 weeks* from the cut-off date for Douglas Cuddle Toys to pack, ship and deliver our bulk order to us in Australia. This bulk order includes your pre-order which we will pack and ship to you shortly after we’ve received it from DOUGLAS.

Which pre-order batch will I be included in?

Put simply:

Pre-orders placed before the cut-off date will be included in the current pre-order batch.

Pre-orders placed after the cut-off date will be included in the next pre-order batch.

How will I know if my pre-order is in stock with DOUGLAS?

When we receive our invoice from Douglas Cuddle Toys, we list the plush that are in stock under the “Updates” section of that pre-order batch.

If Douglas Cuddle Toys are out of stock of the plush you've pre-ordered and we are unable to fulfill your order, we will contact you and you can choose to either:

  1. Wait and be included in our next pre-order batch
  2. Cancel your pre-order and receive a full refund 
  3. Swap your pre-ordered plush for a different one (which you can pick from the restock following the pre-order batch)

When will my pre-order ship and arrive?

Keep checking your pre-order batch below (the “Updates” tab) to see a shipping estimate.

You will be sent a tracking number via email as soon as your pre-order has been packed. Once shipped, it usually takes Australia Post 1-2 weeks to deliver to those within Australia and 2-4 weeks for those internationally.

Pre-Order Batch 6

Pre-orders may be shipped to customers: late September/early October*

Pre-orders may be delivered to customers: early-mid October within Australia and late October/early November for those internationally*

Pre-orders placed between August 18th and September 8th 7pm AEST will be included in this batch.

Batch 6 Updates

September 8th 7:05pm AEST - Batch 6 pre-orders have been submitted to Douglas Cuddle Toys! I will provide an update here once I have order confirmation and will let you know the plush that are included in roughly 1-2 weeks.

Pre-orders may be shipped to customers: mid-late October*

Pre-orders may be delivered to customers: late October/early November within Australia and mid-late November for those internationally*

Pre-orders placed between September 8th and September 23rd 7pm AEST will be included in this batch.

Batch 7 Updates

Pre-orders may be shipped to customers: early-mid November*

Pre-orders may be delivered to customers: mid-late November within Australia and early-mid December for those internationally*

‼️ IMPORTANT: Pre-orders placed after October 6th WILL NOT arrive in time for Christmas for those outside of Australia. ‼️ 

Pre-orders placed between September 23rd 7pm AEST and October 6th 7pm AEDT will be included in this batch.

Pre-orders placed between October 20th and November 3rd 7pm AEDT will be included in this batch.

We will temporarily close pre-orders after November 3rd and will re-open pre-orders on December 26th. We will continue to stock and sell DOUGLAS plush during this time but we will not be taking pre-orders again until December 26th 2025.

10/04/2025 - Pre-orders shipped to customers!

01/04/2025 -  Dispatched by Douglas! We expect our order to arrive on Thursday April 10th.

24/03/2025 - Pre-orders have been placed with Douglas and we are waiting for shipping confirmation.

18/03/2025 - Due to order demand, we will be processing pre-orders significantly earlier than expected. The new pre-order cut off has been changed to March 24th 6PM AEDT instead of the original April 10th 6:00PM AEST. Great news for those who have placed their pre-orders: your new plush friend is arriving sooner than anticipated! If you missed this batch, please stay tuned for our next one! 🤍

29/05/2025 - Batch 3 pre-orders have arrived! We are busy packing them and will ship them on Friday 30th of May ❤️

27/05/2025 - We expecting to receive and ship pre-orders either this Friday or following Monday, we will provide a countdown on our website once we have an exact time for our restock 🐾🎉
21/05/2025 - Our bulk order with Douglas has been shipped! It usually takes 2-3 weeks to arrive in Australia from the USA, so we'll provide an update once we've received it!

17/05/2025 - We've received confirmation from Douglas regarding Batch 3 pre-orders! Unfortunately Douglas are currently out of stock of the plushies below, we apologise for the inconvenience but it is out of our control. If you have placed a pre-order for one of the items below we will contact you and you can opt for a refund or wait until we process pre-orders again - we will now be processing them July 7th instead of August 11th.

17/04/2025 - Due to pre-order demand, we will be processing pre-orders significantly earlier! The Batch 3 pre-order cut off date has been changed from September 22nd to May 19th. 🎉

August 25th 9:00am AEST - Batch 4 pre-orders have been shipped! You should have received an email with an AusPost tracking number to watch your parcel's journey. ❤️ If you've opted into the Pick Your Plush experience, please check your email to pick your favourite!

August 13th 9:30am AEST - Exciting news! UPS/StarTrack expect to deliver our bulk order August 22nd (which is subject to change), but if all goes to schedule I'm hoping to ship pre-orders on Monday August 25th* 🎉

August 12th 8:10am AEST - Douglas Cuddle Toys have shared a list of plush that are out of stock and which ones are in stock. I've provided the list below. Please know that their delays and stock levels are out of our control but we apologise for their delay and thank you for understanding. ♡

Out of stock:

Unfortunately, the nine plush below are currently out of stock with Douglas Cuddle Toys and won't be included in this pre-order batch. Most notably, Chase Border Collie is currently out of stock and is expected to be available in our Batch 7 pre-orders in September - see more below.

IMPORTANT: Since Douglas Cuddle Toys are out of stock of the plush below, we are unfortunately unable to fulfil your pre-order. We will contact you and you can choose to either:

  1. Wait and be included in one of our future pre-order batches
  2. Cancel your pre-order and receive a full refund 
  3. Swap your pre-ordered plush for a different one (which you can view from the "in stock" list below, we might have extras available, just let us know your first three picks and we will confirm if we have extras available to swap with.)

August 7th 7:15am AEST - Douglas Cuddle Toys have confirmed we have 25 boxes of plushies on the way! They have yet to confirm the exact plush in this shipment but it is less than expected so quite a few plush are out of stock with Douglas Cuddle Toys and they need to manufacture more. If your pre-order is out of stock with Douglas, I will email you and you can choose to either:

  1. Wait and be included in our next pre-order batch (see Batch 5 below)
  2. Cancel your pre-order and receive a full refund
  3. Swap your pre-ordered plush for a different one (which you can pick from the restock following this pre-order batch)

Once Douglas Cuddle Toys have confirmed which plush are out of stock, I will update this page with a list.

July 29th 7am AEST - I've followed up with Douglas and they have said that their shipping department is really behind right now and that they will be in touch as soon as our order has shipped. We just have to sit tight and wait until they finish packing our bulk order - I'll update everyone as soon as I hear back!

July 20th 10am AEST - Douglas Cuddle Toys are busy packing over 400 plushies for our bulk order and it's taking them time to pack and confirm numbers. As soon as I have shipping confirmation, I'll provide an update. ❤️

July 9th 2025 5pm AEST - Our bulk order has been acknowledged by Douglas Cuddle Toys. We're awaiting confirmation for the items in stock and for them to be shipped. 

July 7th 2025 7pm AEST - All pre-orders have been submitted to Douglas Cuddle Toys! I'll provide an update here once they have dispatched our bulk order (it takes roughly 1-2 weeks for Douglas to pack and ship wholesale orders to Australia then another 1-2 weeks for it to be delivered to us). Your pre-order will likely be shipped late July/early August*. This page will reflect any news or updates!

September 5th - 2:40pm AEST - Our Batch 5 pre-order shipment has arrived earlier than expected! I will be packing Batch 5 pre-orders today and over the weekend to ship on Monday September 8th. Keep an eye out for a tracking email from us!

September 3rd 7:05am AEST - UPS/StarTrack estimate they will deliver our bulk order on Monday (September 8th). I will endeavour to pack and ship Batch 5 pre-orders throughout the week so all Batch 5 pre-orders will be shipped by Saturday Sept 13th. Keep an eye out for an email with tracking! Those who have opted into Pick Your Plush, you will be sent an email late next week to pick your favourite. ❤️

Bella Golden Retriever update: Douglas Cuddle Toys have made an error with our order and haven’t included the correct amount of Bella Golden Retrievers (1 instead of 11). Unfortunately this is out of my control and everyone who has pre-ordered Bella Golden Retriever will be included in our Batch 6 pre-orders being submitted to DOUGLAS on Monday (September 8th).
